Instant Clarity Strategy Session
Get THE confidence to write forward
The package is $1,500.00. Sign up and pay at the bottom of this page. I'll send you a questionnaire to help me get to know you, your project, and your goals. Just the act of filling out this Q&A will get you thinking about your book in a strategic way and actually picturing it on the shelf.
I'll give you the tools to help you write book jacket copy as if your book was already up on amazon. You'll see just how powerful it is to step back and think big about your book idea.
Send me back your Q&A and up to 25 pages of anything you would like me to assess -- which for fiction could be two chapters and a book synopsis, and for nonfiction could be an overview, an intro, one chapter and your Table of Contents. If you have been pitching and getting rejection letters from agents or editors, consider sending those, as well. All pages must be in standard manuscript format: 1 inch margins, double spaced, 12-point font.
FAQ: What if I haven't written a word? Now is your chance to write some words. They don't have to be perfect. If I can get a sense of your voice on the page and how you write a chapter or a scene, it can help me enormously as I evaluate your idea. Use this as a chance to get started!
FAQ: Only 25 pages?? How can you understand anything in only 25 pages?" I'm a professional with 30 years' experience in the industry and an excellent track record in helping clients land agents and book deals. Most agents make their initial determinations about a book idea in about 10 minutes. I promise that I can tell the most important things I need to know about your idea by evaluating 25 pages.
I will dig into your material, reading and thinking and assessing, and researching the market. This work will take me 5 business days so that I have time to do a thorough job.
I will return your pages with a high level summary of what's working and what needs shoring up, plus actionable steps for how to take your idea from good to great. If you are struggling with a big question -- whether or not to revise, to self-publish, to accept a revise and resubmit proposal -- I can help you weigh the pros and cons.
If it makes sense for your project, I might ask to see a few pages of revisions to make sure you're on the right track.
To wrap it up, we'll hop on the phone for 30 minutes to make sure you feel crystal clear about your path forward.
FAQ: Does this service include line edits? No. It is an assessment of the work as a whole on a big picture, strategic level. I may edit if I believe that is the best way to show you what I need to show you but this is not an editing service.
FAQ: Will you really tell the truth if you think my book idea is not holding water? Yes. My entire business is based on my integrity. Telling the truth is a core value of my mission. If the news is not good, I will tell you -- and give you a plan for what to do about it.
"Just a quick note to thank you again for our conversation yesterday. It helped me a lot. You really are a story whisperer!" - Mary Incontro
"I loved my feedback session. Jennie has a talent for drilling down to what I wanted to write about. I had complicated the matter, and in an hour under her guidance she simplified my topic. In a week, I had a concept that was both relevant and authentic to me. I am very satisfied with her intervention and its efficacy." - Nadine Macaluso

FAQ: Jennie, will you be my coach? I work with a very select number of private clients and have very little room in my schedule for new clients. If you are interested in being considered, we can discuss this path during our Instant Clarity Session phone call.
Work with your book coach through the revision process and get your manuscript into the best possible shape. Plan on this taking another 6 months, minimum.
Select a path to publication. We are not a publisher and we don't work on book production but we can help you build the materials and skills you need to find an agent OR we can point you in the right direction of a trustworthy vendor to help you with self publishing.
Your path to success starts with an Instant Clarity Strategy Session.
